LEON CHOOLUCK     1920 - 2002

When Sheldon Leonard got down to actually filming “I Spy,” he chose one of the most capable production managers in the business, LEON CHOOLUCK.  It was his responsibility to keep the “I Spy” roadshow from veering into a ditch, and have a finished episode for screening each week.

One of the most knowledgeable and versitile men behind the camera, Leon Chooluck produced, directed or served on the production staff of countless films.

His credits include EL CID,  APOCALYPSE NOW, LIZZIE, THE THIEF, THREE THE HARD WAY, MURDER BY CONTRACT, CITY OF FEAR, DAY OF THE OUTLAW and THREE BLONDES IN HIS LIFE among many others.

He also did considerable work in television, serving as production supervisor of THE OUTER LIMITS and director for HIGHWAY PATROL.

Before his death, Leon Chooluck was head of the motion picture company  International Film Distributors.
