Ken Johnson began his Hollywood career as a film editor, with early credits on such blockbusters as “Lust for Life” and the long-running TV series “Gunsmoke.”
He moved over to music editing with the series “Have Gun Will Travel,” and then began a long association as editor for Earle Hagen, working on a host of series with the illustrious composer. He also worked on the seminal text “Scoring for Films,” authored by the I Spy musical director.
Ken Johnson has also worked on such features as “Harold and Maude,” “Shampoo,” “Stand and Deliver,” “Kotch,” “Nashville,” and “Bill Cosby - Himself,” and for such composers asPaul Simon, Lalo Shifrin, Elmer Bernstein, Pete Carpenter, Nelson Riddle, Shorty Rogers, Lee Holdridge, James Newton Howard, John Beal and Patrick Williams.
