They leave the taxi, and are pursued through the wet streets, then through Hong Kong, accompanied by a thrilling Earle Hagen jazz score with Chinese overtones and Fouad Said's breath-taking cinematography.
Climbing higher and higher, Eventually they come to a small group of people who point at them. In Chinese, Scotty tells them that they're filming a gangster movie, and that the bad guys are following them.
When one arrives, gun in hand, Kelly shoots him to the applause of the group. Scotty fires shots in the air, and after the pursuers discover their dead comrade, they then encounter Scotty lying on the ground. Kelly shoots them, and the two then return to the small group, shaking hands and accepting congratulations at the supposed filming.
They then head back to locate Elroy who awakes to find himself feeling awful. He and Amara were injected with typhoid by the Chinese, and she's being flown back to Peiking. Tsung plays a tape of her farewell, saying again, “Elroy, it means the king.” Tsung says that he will deliver Elroy's speech to the conference, and that within a year, China will be firmly entrenched in Africa as a result of the Afro Asian Olympic games he will set in place. He threatens harm to Amara if Elroy does not cooperate and keep silent.
